Day 14. Friday, March, 27th

A NEW LIGHT This morning we had another meeting to professor Ravel to show what we've produced during the week using his tips. Two days ago we were stuck on our problem and today Ravel’s tips really helped us to clean up everything. Now we can see brand new possibilities. Afternoon we had a meeting to our tutors to talk about ourselves, our feelings and the project development. It is always good experience talk to them, they make us feel safe and encouraged about our project.  

Day 13. Thursday, March, 26th

MENTAL MAP Today we created our first mental map. The mental map helps us to visualize the different possible paths to approach our challenge. We built it under our first idea to approach this challenge and problems. Probably it is going to change a few times.

Day 12. Wednesday, March, 25th

PERSONAS Today we officially built our personas. “Persona” is a term to appoint people that are, somehow, connected to our challenge and it problems and solutions. For now we have 3 different personas that are connected to our challenge, a street waste collector and two home managers. One of them does live the recycle culture and the other does not.

Day 11. Tuesday, March, 24th

QUICK TIPS This morning we had a meeting to professor Ravel who is helping us to approach our challenge using the design thinking methodology. It was really helpful to clean up some doubts.    Afternoon we worked in our challenge using Ravel’s tips.

Day 10. Monday, March, 23th

WHERE DO YOU WANNA GO? Today we had a general meeting at morning to test the web conference connection for the next days workshops.  Afternoon we had a team meeting to build our team learning contract. I was helpful to locate ourselves in our team goals. The learning contract is a self-managed learning tool. We have done this before over our personal life and goals and so we decide to do the same to our team. 

Day 9. Friday, March, 20th

FIRST CONFERENCE CALL EXPERIENCE Today we had a meeting to our tutors using web conference. It was our first experience being apart to each other. We talked about ourservels, our expectations to the group and we prepared a schedule for the next two weeks

Day 8. Thursday, March, 19th

WAY BACK TO HOME We did not have official meetings today. It was like a sad travel back home day

Day 7. Wednesday, March, 18th

PARTNERSHIP AND FRIENDSHIP Today we had a meeting to our partner company, Piracanjuba. It was good to clean up some doubts about our challenge.  At night some of us had dinner together to say goodbye to finland, portuguese and chilean people. 

Day 6. Tuesday, March 17th

SAD NEWS The day started differently than other days. On monday we talked about the situation and status of coronavirus in Goiânia, some classes were suspended, for this reason the managers of the program had a meeting to talk about the continuity of the project. Today we were informed that the program will continue online and that it was preferable for foreign students to return to their countries so that they could be with their families. It was a very sad day. Later that day we had a reunion with our tutors and then we had lunch together for the last time.  Then in the afternoon, we bought flowers to the program coordinators Ruberley and Suelene and we also prepared some posters.  At night we hang out together for the last time.

AUDIOVISUAL COMMUNICATION PHOTOS

Day 5. Monday, March, 16th

AUDIOVISUAL COMMUNICATION Today we started our day with a workshop hosted by Carol Porto about audio visual communication aiming to improve our pictures and records technics for us to have a standardization in our audio visual production.   We had lunch together and in the afternoon we worked in our “personas” for the design thinking workshop.

Day 4. Friday, March, 13th

RESEARCH Today we started the morning doing research about the company, the recycling culture in Brazil, social behavior, and the compromise of the company with environmental issues. We did another brainstorm about the ways to approach the challenge. Later that we had a interview with the counterpart, in this meeting (via cellphone) the counterpart gave us a short summary about the meaning of the challenge and what they expected from us. After this we created a series of questions to ask at our next meeting with the company.

Day 3. Thursday, March, 12th

MEETINGS On thursday morning we had a meeting with Sanna Tahlo to talk about our learning contracts. It was really emotional and supportive for all of us.  Then we went to have lunch with the teachers, tutors and students of the project. We spent a lot of time together and it´s a very good experience. After lunch we had time for do research about our challenge, we spent like 4 hours doing research, then with the help of our tutors we had the challenge more clear. In the evening we had a dinner in IFG, the food was prepared by Gastronomy students, those students were people who for some reasons couldn´t finish their education and they found an opportunity at IFG. They spent a lot of time cooking for us and they were so happy about their results. It was also and amazing experience, very emotional. We had so much fun.

Day 2. Wednesday, March, 11th

CONVERSATORY We started the day early in the morning. We had a talk about the last LAPASSION in Uberaba, the presentation was hosted by Gabriel Vieira, an IFG student. He told us about his experience during this project.  Afternoon we received the traffic, culture and education secretaries from Senador Canedo city for explaining some of the sub-challenges that involved that city.  After that we had a design thinking workshop hosted by professor Ravel that helped us with our challenge. 

Day 1. Tuesday, March 10th

FIRST CLASSES We started the day with the class of final year student Sanna Tahlo, from Tampere University in Finland. She taught us the learning contract methodology. This class was very emotional for us, because as a group we shared all of our past experiences, bad ones and good ones. This instance brought us together as a team and as people too. Then some of us had lunch with some students from another group. After lunch we started working in our sub-challenge. 

Day 0. Monday, March, 9th

FIRST DAY OF LAPASSION We were received by the coordinators of LAPASSION project in IFG auditorium to welcome foreign students and participants. It was a formal ceremony and then we had brunch with all the people involved. It was a friendly and pleasant welcome. In the afternoon all the group played a game in the gym with the professors and coordinators of LAPASSION project. In this moment we found out the working teams. Later that day we had a cultural presentation. Later that day we went out with the brazilians students from the project LAPASSION and we ate tipical food from Goiania city.
